Andrea Cattarossi

Born and raised in Belluno in the Dolomites, started his mountaineering career when 18, climbing to the top of Civetta. From that point on the passion for the mountain drag him to push the level higher (8b), while keeping on repeating the classical-routes and more recent big-wall routes around the Dolomites.
After graduating in IT at the University of Padua, Andrea worked in the branch of sun-glasses fashion industry as a IT. Here he started hanging out with guides and alpinists, with those friends he went to some expeditions around the Globe: Taghia, Morocco – new route, American Alpine Journal, Yosemite USA – Salathe on El Cap, Regular on the Half Dome.
From that point on his activity grew continuously, with new routes and repetitions in the home mountains’ big walls, such as Specchio di Sara IX on the Marmolada, Spirit on the Cime d’Auta.
In winter Andrea was busy with ice-climbing up to the VI grade and mixed-climbing up to the M7 (Inachevee Co0nception Diretta, Adamello Nord-wall, Innominata on the Mont Blanc. With the skis he did the major peaks in the Alps with couloirs up to 60 degree of steepness. Activities
