To reserve

You can easily reserve tours marked in the calendar by using the reservation form on the website. This can be found on the page of the relevant trip find, or under the heading "Contacts". After the online reservation the travel agreement is closed. YOU receives a confirmation of this travel agreement / invoice with additional information.

The invoice identification code you will receive help the team to identify the client and has to be used to mark he communication via email, bank transfer, etc.

Application

If you want to book a trip on request outside the agenda, you must do so via the form the website under the heading '' Contact '', here you fill in which dates you have in mind and with how much people you share the interest. The requirements may vary according to the typology, the location of the activity. Submitting a request it is not binding. After submitting a request you will receive an automatic confirmation and you will be contacted by the team within 5 working days. After the agreement on the dates of the trip has been made the reservation comes into effect when the customer confirms the submitted proposal in writing.

Payment

The entire payment or down payment must be made not later than 5 working days after the start of the agreement. The due amount has to be transfer on the following bank account:

The outstanding amount must be received no later than 30 days before the start of the trip on the above listed account number. A reminder email will be sent to you 35 days before the scheduled departure of the trip. The payment reference has to be named with the invoice number. We hereby receive a copy of passport / ID card and your health insurance card.

Optional extras: on some of our trips you can purchase optional extras such as transfers and an extra night before or after the trip, an extension of your trip or hiring of material if you need it. These extras are subject to availability and are subject to the same conditions as our trips.

Pricing: The client recognises having read the pricing and other information relative of the trip of their choosing. On our website and the pages relative to each trip, what the price includes and by extension what it doesn’t is clearly stated. Generally speaking, taxis to and from the airport, vaccinations, fees relative to visas, any personnel equipment, usage of ski lifts drinks and any optional extras that may be offered in the places we stay are not included in the price unless this is  explicitly mentioned. Any lateness in payment could be considered a cancellation, and the relevant fees will therefore apply.

Optional (but advised) travel insurance

Skiwithsiebe is not responsible for the civil liability of its clients . It is therefore imperative that you possess up to date civil liability insurance before booking on to one of our trips. It is also strongly advised to have insurance that cover any cancellation fees, injury and illness during the trip and theft or loss of luggage.

Repatriation and search and rescue insurance (i.e. Alpine Clubs, Travel Insurances) is strongly advised when taking part in one of our trips. It is the responsibility of the client to be aware of any insurance that they have and what this covers them for before booking with Skiwithsiebe. After booking, please send us the details of your personal insurance.

Claims: All claims on relevant insurance policies should be sent to Skiwithsiebe no later than a month after the end of the given trip. Please send them by email or by recommended (tracked) postage.

 

Changes made by Skiwithsiebe

During the a travel season it can occur due to unforeseen circumstances that adjustments should be made to the travel program. Skiwithsiebe or Skiwithsiebe through the platform Gravitas Adventures will inform the traveler of the changes and come to a new travel agreement in consultation with the traveler. If the changes influence the trip too much in the opinion of the guest, and the guest wishes to cancel the proposed new program for the trip, then the traveler has the right to cancel the trip without consequences.

 

Website and social media

With participation in the activities of Skiwithsiebe you give permission for the use of photos and / or videos made during our activities, for the website, social media and others promotional purposes.

 

Group travel

If the indicated minimum number of participants for a trip is not reached, then Skiwithsiebe has the right to cancel this trip in writing or orally. Skiwithsiebe undertakes to inform the participants at least four weeks before departure at the latest. Skiwithsiebe reserves the right to replace the tour guide due to illness, injuries or other serious causes. A change of a tour guide is not a valid reason for free cancellation by a participant. The tour guide of Skiwithsiebe is entitled to deviate from the indicated itinerary if this is in the best interests of the group. He or she is also entitled to exclude a participant of further  participation, as physical or mental abnormalities or an inadequate condition / equipment of a participant, seriously impede the progress of the trip. All responsibility, consequences and costs are then for the person concerned, who is therefore not entitled to refund at all. If a participant voluntarily decides to leave, he or she can not claim a refund or additional reimbursement costs that are incurred because of leaving the trip. This also applies to those involved in incidents with violence, these persons are removed from the travel program (including accommodations) without the right on a refund or any extra reimbursement costs, the incident will also be reported to the local police. Group trips with departure within 6 weeks are on request. Which means it is depending on availability of accommodations and / or availabilities of equipment at the rental partner. Because of these reasons prices may be different.

Given the nature of our trips, Skiwithsiebe cannot be held responsible for and therefore will provide no compensation for changing dates, times or itineraries especially if these changes are caused by unforeseen events or dangerous circumstances that may put travellers in danger. All travellers must follow the instructions of the guide at all times. We are also not responsible for any accident or injuries that may result from any dangerous situation that you may put yourself in: the guide is the only person that has the right to change the itinerary in view of the weather or the conditions on the mountain(s), the fitness of the participants or their knowledge of the necessary techniques. If another itinerary or mountain is used in place of the one originally proposed any fees related to travel and transportation that may be incurred will remain the responsibility of the client.

 

When Skiwithsiebe acts as an intermediary between it’s clients and other service providers (transport companies, hotels, local travel agencies etcetera) it should not be confused with the aforementioned who outline their own conditions and legal responsibilities.  If, for whatever reason the dates of a given trip are changed (for example, due to a problem with an airline) Skiwithsiebe  cannot be held responsible and you will be asked to make a contribution towards any fees that may be incurred. If, for whatever reason, we cannot provide you with any of the services that our outlined on the web-page for the given trip, we may in certain circumstances be forced to change one mode of transport, hotel or other service for another, change the itinerary or cancel certain excursions. Please note that these changes made in exceptional circumstances will not give rise to any sort of compensation. The client does not have the right to refuse these changes without good reason. If no replacement services can be offered, or the client has good reason for refusing them then Skiwithsiebe  will organise an alternative trip at no extra cost to the client.

 

Cancellation conditions Skiwithsiebe

In the event of cancellation by the traveler, each passenger will owe the following amounts:

Up to 56 days before departure: 15% of the travel sum with a minimum of EUR 100.00 p.p .;

From 56 to 28 days before departure: 50% of the travel sum;

Cancellation from the 28th day (inclusive) until the 10th day before departure: 75% of the travel sum;

In case of cancellation from the 10th day (inclusive) until the day of departure or later: the full travel sum.

The cancellation date is the first following working day on which Skiwithsiebe receives the notification, provided that the report is made before 6.00 pm. Otherwise the next working day applies. In those cases where traveling during the planned trip may cause serious difficulties or may pose a danger to the traveler as a result of natural or man conditions caused (such as floods, earthquakes, nuclear contamination, strikes, (threat of) violent conflicts), if cancelled by  any of the above mentioned cancellation costs are reduced to the amount of the down payment.

 

 

Liability

You must take care of valid travel documents, such as passport / identity card, visas and vaccination certificates as required by different countries. If you can’t participate on a part of the trip or entirely because of missing a document, all consequences that may occur are for own responsibility. You must inform yourself about the to the trip necessarily equipment and physical condition to meet the set criteria. Skiwithsiebe is on no way responsible when your trip, because of your physical or mental condition prematurely, has to stop. For group travel, the tour guide of Skiwithsiebe or the local agent is entitled to deviate from the indicated itinerary, if he deems this to be in the best interest of the group. He or she is also entitled to exclude a participant of further  participation, as physical or mental abnormalities or an inadequate condition / equipment of a participant, seriously impede the progress of the trip. All responsibility, consequences and costs are then for the person concerned, who is therefore not entitled to refund at all. Skiwithsiebe can not accept any liability for consequences arising from cancellations, flight changes and / or delays of railways, bus, aviation or ferry companies. No liability is accepted for damages for which claim exists on a travel insurance, which is deemed to have been taken out by the traveler. Should the insurance not proceed to payment, while Skiwithsiebe is liable for the damage of the traveler, the liability of Skiwithsiebe can never go beyond a fee of at most once the travel sum what has been payed to Skiwithsiebe. A claim of any participant on compensation for loss of holiday joy, if Skiwithsiebe is liable for this,  the liability of Skiwithsiebe can never go beyond a fee of at most once the travel sum what has been payed to Skiwithsiebe. The included in this article liability exclusions do not apply if damage is the result of intent or gross negligence of Skiwithsiebe or her managerial subordinates. Skiwithsiebe is never liable for damage, if it is due to the shortcomings of the traveler.

The physical and technical difficulty of each of our trips is shown by a points system on the relevant page. What separates one level of difficulty from another depends largely on the type of activity and trip that you choose. You can explore what this means on any particular trip in more detail by hovering your mouse over the relevant part of the page. This can also be explore in more detail in the files pertaining to the relevant trip under the rubrique “level”. It’s crucial that you’re aware of you own level and know before booking that you we be able to comfortably take part in the trip you have selected. In certain cases the guide may be forced to put a stop to the trip (no reimbursement will be offered) if he thinks that:

Complaints

Obviously we try to prepare and execute a trip as well as possible, but still it may happen that you have a complain about something. In group trips you can make this complaint on the spot and tell your tour guide so that he / she can do something about it. If the problem can not be solved, then the complaints will be recorded together with the tour guide in writing and send it to by email to Skiwithsiebe afterwards. Complaints that are not documented in this way will not be processed and there will me nu further steps taken or liability for Skiwithsiebe.
